Powder Coating System

Our powder-coating system, designed and installed by GAT Systems of Fenton, Missouri, is built to handle a wide variety of parts.  The 1,000 foot conveyor system, which travels at a rate of up to 10 feet per minute, gives Highland Machine the capability to handle large volumes of parts at competitive pricing.

Surface Preparation

All surfaces are carefully prepared for powder coating by means of a five-stage treatment process.  In this wash tunnel, the parts are washed, rinsed, phosphate treated, rinsed again, and finally treated with a sealer.  All chemicals in the process are carefully monitored to insure the proper preparation of the material.

Powder Application

Our powder booth is a Nordson 2001 Powder Coating System with ten automatic guns and two touch-up guns.  We stock a wide variety of colors and types of powder and can match any special colors you might require.

Inspection and Packing

Once the parts are completed, each piece is inspected for proper color, powder thickness, and adhesion.  Prior to final wrapping and packing, all parts receive a final visual check to insure that the finish meets our quality specifications.
